Artist Arrival: Beginning at 8:30 AM
ABOUT THE EVENT
Mural Fest returns to Downtown Mineola for its second year, bringing together 30 muralists and street artists to create original works of art live during the festival.
This year's theme, Beyond the Walls, challenges artists to imagine what comes next. Each artist will create their own interpretation of a positive future for the next generation through their individual style and perspective.
30 Artists. 30 Walls. 30 Visions of What Comes Next.
ARTIST SPACE
Each accepted artist will receive:
• One 7' wide × 6' tall mural space
• Wall primed prior to artist arrival
Mural Fest provides the primed wall only.
ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
Artists must provide all materials and equipment required to complete their mural, including:
• Paint
• Brushes and/or rollers
• Paint trays
• Drop cloths
• Ladder, if needed
• Any additional tools or equipment required for their artwork
Artists are responsible for keeping paint and materials contained within their designated area and protecting the surrounding pavement.
ARTIST EVENT DAY SCHEDULE
8:30 AM – Artist arrival begins. Artists may set up, outline and begin preparing their mural.
12:00 PM – Mural Fest opens to the public. Artists will continue creating their murals live throughout the event.
4:45 PM – Approximate sunset.
5:00 PM – Mural Fest concludes.
Artists should plan a design that can reasonably be completed within the available painting time.
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Artists are encouraged to interpret Beyond the Walls freely through their own artistic style.
The overall theme should represent a positive vision of the future and the world we are creating for the next generation.
Artwork must be appropriate for a public, all-ages environment.
Political or partisan messaging and political-agenda artwork are strictly prohibited.
Artwork containing hate speech, discriminatory messaging, explicit sexual content, graphic violence or other content deemed inappropriate for a public community event will not be permitted.

APPLICATION & ACCEPTANCE
Artist spaces are limited. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Applications will be reviewed prior to approval. Selected artists will receive confirmation along with final event-day instructions and mural placement information.
By submitting this application, the artist acknowledges and agrees to the event details, requirements and artwork guidelines outlined above.

VENDOR SPACE
Each accepted vendor will receive:
• One 10' × 10' vendor space
• Placement along the vendor marketplace directly across the street from the live mural installations
Vendors are responsible for providing their own 10' × 10' tent, tables, chairs, displays, weights and any other equipment needed for their setup.
Electricity is not provided.
VENDOR ELIGIBILITY
The Mural Fest Vendor Marketplace is specifically curated to showcase independent small businesses, artists, makers and creative brands.
Priority is given to businesses offering handmade, locally created, designed or independently produced goods, including art, apparel, jewelry, accessories, home goods, gifts, vintage, specialty products and other unique merchandise.
This marketplace is not open to lead-generation, direct-sales or service-based promotional booths.
Businesses whose primary purpose at the event is collecting customer information, booking consultations, generating sales leads, promoting corporate services or soliciting future business are not eligible. This includes categories such as insurance, home improvement, window/roofing companies, telecommunications and similar corporate sales or promotional booths.
The intention of the marketplace is to create a true small-business experience that complements the artists and creative atmosphere of Mural Fest.
VENDOR LOAD-IN & SETUP
10:00 AM – Vendor load-in begins
All vendors must arrive and complete load-in between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
All vehicles must be unloaded and removed from the event area and vendor booths must be completely set up and ready for the public by 12:00 PM.
EVENT HOURS
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Vendors are required to remain open and operational for the full duration of the event. Early breakdown or departure is not permitted.
VENDOR IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
All tents must be properly secured with appropriate tent weights. Stakes may not be used on the street.
Vendors must remain completely within their assigned 10' × 10' footprint and may not obstruct sidewalks, roadways, neighboring vendor spaces or emergency access areas.

FOOD TRUCKS ($120.00):

FOOD TRUCK AVAILABILITY
Only 4 food truck spaces are available for Mural Fest 2026.
Food trucks will be positioned along the festival street directly across from the live mural installations, placing the food area in the center of the event experience while artists create throughout the day.
FOOD TRUCK SPACE
Each accepted food truck will receive one designated space based on the dimensions provided in their application.
All trucks must be completely self-contained and provide all equipment, power and supplies necessary for operation.
Electricity is not provided.
FOOD TRUCK LOAD-IN & SETUP
10:00 AM – Food truck load-in begins
All food trucks must arrive between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
Trucks must be parked in their assigned location, fully set up and ready to serve by 12:00 PM when Mural Fest opens to the public. Due to street closures and the placement of artists, vendors and attendees, late vehicle entry cannot be accommodated.

Food trucks must remain open and operational for the full duration of the festival. Early departure is not permitted.
FOOD TRUCK REQUIREMENTS
Food trucks are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all permits, licenses and certifications required to legally operate and serve food at the event.
Trucks must operate entirely within their assigned footprint and keep all equipment, generators and supplies safely contained within their designated area.

Mural +Street Artist WallSpace
Mural Artist Wall Space: Artists will be provided with a designated 7ft wide by 6ft tall outdoor wall space to create murals live during the event, offering a unique opportunity to engage with festival spectators. Artists are responsible for bringing their own paint, brushes, and supplies. Murals must be completed by the end of the festival and must adhere to guidelines. Additionally each Mural Artist will be offered an optional 6 foot by 2 foot space in front of their wall to sell work.

Vendor are required to provide their own, tents, tables, chairs, and displays. No electricity is available, as this is an outdoor event.
